Streaming is the future of gaming – and the future is here today. What Netflix did for movies and TV shows and Spotify did for music, Hatch is doing for video games. The world’s only mobile-first game streaming service is laying the path towards instant, on-demand gaming delivered over the internet. No more downloads, installations and waiting. You just press play to play. It’s a better way to have fun with great games without fuss.

But game streaming is much more than just a better consumer experience. It will fundamentally change the gaming industry landscape: gaming as an on-demand service will shake the power balance of the current market as new players emerge to serve the fast growing global gaming audiences.

Hatch has to date announced strategic partnerships with NTT Docomo in Japan (the No. 3 gaming market in the world) and – just today – with Sprint in the United States (the No. 2 gaming market in the world). We’re also partnering with the leading Finnish 5G operator Elisa to arrange the world’s first 5G eSports tour. Mark this date in your calendars: the new world order in gaming has arrived! With gaming as a service, major mobile operators can now offer value add to their customers seeking new ways to enjoy entertainment on demand. And this is only the beginning: With the advent of 5G rollouts around the world, Hatch couldn’t be better positioned to partner with the world’s biggest service providers who have a massive subscriber base, existing distribution channels and marketing muscle to bring on-demand gaming to the mainstream. Simply put: we have the right product at the right time.

Personally, I couldn’t be more proud of working with partners like NTT DOCOMO, Sprint and Elisa to lead the revolution in gaming in the 5G era. It’s amazing to see the excitement around me when shaping a major new business opportunity that can excite and delight millions of people with the possibilities of next generation technologies. That’s why I love working in the technology industry – it truly is possible to change the lives of millions of people for something better.
